Kristen Key - Buckle Up!

Twenty-five year old Kristin Key seems like any other sweet, sexy, well-behaved preacher’s daughter…until she opens her mouth. Her fearless style of comedy has earned her the title “Preacher’s Kid Gone Wild”. Key says, “I love making people laugh at things they usually wouldn’t think about” and describes her style of comedy as silly, edgy and very personal.

Kristin started her stand-up career at age 19 and quickly became one of the youngest comedy club headliners in the country. One night last winter, she auditioned for the NBC reality/comedy show “Last Comic Standing” in Austin Texas. “I showed up at 4:30 in the morning, and waited 7 hours just to get seen” says Key. For her, the long wait certainly paid off. On May 30th, Key not only made her national television debut on the show, but also got the judges’ nod to move on to the “house” meaning the top 10 finalists.

“I make fun of myself a lot and I tell a lot of stories.” To Kristin, nothing is off limits. She covers everything from personal stories to the top four questions you should never ask a hermaphrodite! In three words – she’s “flat-out funny”! Not girl funny – just funny!

“I think chick comics get a bad rap. Not all female comics are male-hating housewives with kids and “grrrrLL” power. I don’t want to get on stage and go on and on about my period, or how cute babies are. Being a woman is interesting but there’s just better *%#& to talk about.
