Jerry Lewis was wrong
when he said that woman stand ups are not funny!
Obviously, he has never met or seen Tonight Show
veteran and St. Louis, MO. native Kathleen Madigan.
Voted best female stand up at the American Comedy
Awards in 1995, Kathleen has made the most of her
career. Kathleen started at an open mic night in
1990, and has resulted in numerous television
appearances and selling out comedy clubs and
theatres across the country. Kathleen Madigan was
last seen on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" Season 2!
Kathleen
Madigan is one of the most popular headliners in the
country. An American Comedy Award winner as best
female stand-up, her accessible and unpretentious
style has earned her a devoted and growing
following.
Unlike any other
female comedian working today, Kathleen resonates
with a broad base of fans from coast to coast. She
packs theaters from Nevada to North Carolina and
everywhere in between.
Her standup specials
on HBO and Comedy Central haved earned rave reviews
and her latest CD/DVD In Other Words is one of the
most downloaded comedy albums of 2006-2007. She is a
regular guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The
Late Show with David Letterman, VH-1, E!, and CNN.
She is a mainstay on Comedy Central where she
recently debuted a new one-hour special and appeared
on The World Stands Up, USO Comedy Tour, The World
Comedy Tour, and Comedy Central Presents. Kathleen
recently served as a talent scout on NBC’s Last
Comic Standing and is the host of her own weekly
show on Sirius Radio Networks, The Kathleen Madigan
Show. She is the only 5ft 2inch Mid-Missouri Hoop
Shoot Champion in recorded history.
