Having saved virtually every letter her father
wrote to her between the years 1938, when whe was eleven years old, and
1967, Groucho's Letters to his daughter Miriam show an extraordinary
father-daughter relationship. Groucho is revealed as a man deeply concerned with holding his family together who never hesitated to say exactly what he thought. Frank Ferrante was nominated for the Laurence Olivier Award in the Comedy Performance of the Year category for his portrayal of Groucho Marx from the age 15 to 85 in "Groucho: A Life In Revue." In New York he won the Theater World Award and was nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award for the off-Broadway production. |
